I don't see how unless they are not comparing him to the performance of other presidents.

Why would be not be?

Funded, cosigned, authorized, and supported wholeheartedly a genocide

Increased oil and gas drilling

Didn't do nearly enough to help them climate

Broke workers strikes without giving them shit (see the train union)

Basically told his entire support base to go fuck themselves

Basically handed the country to the Republicans and destroyed democracy because he didn't have any self awareness and wanted to break his promise to be a one term president.

Didn't give a fuck about corporate greed or price gouging

He's been fucking awful

lets see a mixture of what every other president has done in the particular situations and opinion. yeah sure.

That should be a sign that the democratic party has abandoned regular people

Yeah the fact that they are not better than any politician or party in history and is only the best of what is. Sounds like for sure we should go with the worse alternative as that will get a better. The reason we keep moving right is because we have not allowed the right to win enough to go left.

To be fair, he didn't promise to be a one term president. He promised to be a bridge to the next generation, and people took that to mean a one term president. The way he set up Kamala with only no win scenarios and left her out to dry, it was clear he was not setting her up for success or himself to be one term. He reaped exactly what he prepared for, failure.

He promised to be a bridge to the next generation

Apparently the rest of the Democrat party doesn't feel the same about forming a bridge to the next generation. They'd much rather keep corrupt geriatric fools in charge rather than bow out gracefully while the next generations take over.

On a whole, your point is taken, but Harris was far from geriatric. Her problem was she was the second worst candidate to run against Trump. All the polls showed Biden losing, Harris losing less badly, and "undeclared democrat" destroying Trump.

In my 6+ decades I've learned that predicting history in the future always turns out.

He's going to be remembered worse than Carter

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Carter at least did good stuff out of office and tried to do the right thing in office. Can't say the same for Biden.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, and unlike Carter, Biden isn't going to have decades to rehabilitate is reputation.

I will be amazed to find lives to the end of the decade, same for Trump.
