Positive team building post. πŸ™‚

So what is the first song you remember? Mine is The Beatles, Twist and Shout. I must have been about two and a half, maybe younger. I remember the joy of it.

U2 - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

One thing I'm very grateful for with my upbringing is that there was a lot of music - the Beatles, Beach Boys, U2, Meatloaf, The Seekers. We'd go on family drives (to other country towns for their pokie joints), but the drive was always great with the music playing.

Does anyone know if you can still get this type of heat pack anywhere. Made out of red corduroy. It's my migraine safety blanket. The phone number is disconnected and I get no results searching for the company name...

Edit... I just tried an image search, which i'd tried earlier with no luck, and for some reason it came up with something this time... Heatwheat.com.au

In office today I'm sitting next to someone relatively new (different team).

She had a fairly strong Russian accent and even a polite and innocent sentence sounds like a threat.

Nice little funderstorm rapidly approaching from the north.

That one has fizzled out - another coming and I can hear the funder.

Didn't get the role I went for sadly.

Am drowning with work atm. Asking manager for more money tomorrow.

I'm sorry man. You got the skills to get another though, and I hope you get the raise you obviously deserve! :)

I know this is not the right thing to do but sometimes hearing about someone elses drama reduces my own anxiety.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 15 hours ago

I think it's ok too, even if just to realise that we all have things to deal with.

I can relate. Sometimes other people’s issues makes me feel like mine aren’t really all that bad. (Jeebus, my typos recently.)

I like to lighten the scene up with my unimportant natter. Balance and all.

I also think it's most beneficial to get things out in the open even to strangers on here. Mental health and physical health are so important.

TitleIt's been a few years, and I'm still coming across things I thought I had, only to find them gone. It's my fault for not unpacking certain boxes for years, but to find my nostalgic possessions don't exist anymore due to a certain someone - idk. Photos I'll never see again, objects that were taken from me... Those people still have power over me, and I wish I could let it go, accept that that is okay. But it isn't. I'm not okay.

At least the cat has been clingy, prolly picking up on my anxieties and deep grief. He is a welcome relief, and I love him so much.

Sorry for the downer post.
