How? They've been dragging out the end of the world ever since AC3 and killing off Desmond. How are they gonna reboot it? "Everything was a simulation the entire time and we just hit a hard reset button."
Dead Desmond (aka Deadmon) is being retconned as a clone of the real Desmond who's an asian-african trans male trap singer who must climb towers and buy micro transactions to save his timeline.
Sounds like a mega hit
I haven't played an Assassin's Creed game in years and I have no intentions to play the new one. But even I know the worst part of those games is the stupid damn story set in modern times that makes no sense.
WHY AREN'T THEY JUST GAMES SET IN THE PAST. WHY IS IT SIMULATION JUNK. WHAT
I fully believe it is so that things like eagle vision make more sense, and also so they can have small portions of map which complain when you get outside of "memory range".
A true historical open world game probably wouldn't have either thing.
