What is the alleged purpose in requiring dating? Since someone can put whatever date they want, it's adding low quality data to a process that, as noted below will get the actual postmark date (that actually matters) so what is gained by requiring the date other than one more thing for voters to remember?
It’s a little silly when there’s already a postmark that proves it was mailed in time
