The comments on HN seem a bit envious of the original author with how they're trying so hard to invalidate them.
Just how it came across to me.
You know what's really good for mental health? Work that makes you feel guilty and politics you don't have any influence over.
Nooo don’t leave tech your so sexy aha
Having a conscience? There's no career in that!
I have never worked in any job where I felt I was doing pure moral good in the world.
It may even get in the way of climbing the corporate ladder!
Political work can be very empowering and achieve more than being a corporate drone.
