That thing looks like shit
Like why, though, is my thought. They're Amazon. They don't need the money and I can't remember the last time I had to even set our alarm it's contact anyone there for support. I'm really tired of having to dump products after having them setup and integrated. Fuck I hate this shit...
The alarm monitoring is separate from the cloud service thing.
That's the plan. Get u locked in and jack up the price. Sell hardware at a loss, and make it up on the back end through subscriptions.
Because capitalism. The shareholders thirst - they will have their returns. Common sense, decency, legality and morality are all roughly shoved aside in service of "line go up".
