Israeli forces killed 28 health care workers in Lebanon in just the past day, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a press briefing on Thursday. So far, Israeli forces have killed 1,600 people, including over 100 children, in the past two weeks in Lebanon.

Israel has openly adopted attacks on health care as a military practice in its genocide in Gaza — one of many tactics that seemingly violate international wartime law that Israel is now using on Lebanon.

Israel is carrying out intense shelling in Lebanon, killing nearly the same number of people in Lebanon in just 10 days as were killed in the 2006 Lebanon war,

Israel’s violence is also causing a major displacement crisis. (...) at least 1.2 million people across Lebanon, or over a fifth of the population, have been forcibly displaced amid Israel’s attacks.

In less than one week Israel has killed more Lebanese people than the total of Israelis in the past year including October 7.

Going forward let's swap " Nazi" for "Israeli" to describe despicable acts of racist inhumanity.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No. Israeli is a nationality. Nazi is a political ideology.

They're Zionazis.

Why do the people of Israel never try to riot or protest against these war crimes they commit?

You're only proving me right here.

Tens of thousands of Israelis have protested in Tel Aviv demanding a Gaza ceasefire deal and the return of hostages held by Hamas.

They are protesting to bring the prisoners home and return to their normal lives, they are not protesting against the warcrimes being committed.

Israel has put great effort into tying judaism with zionism. The people that went to school in Israel (but also some jewish people abroad through jewish educational programs sponsored by Israel) learn that any attack on Israel is an attack on jews akin to the holocaust, and that all Palestinians want to kill all jews. Israel as an apartheid state has also been very attractive to racist people who do not care and even welcome a genocide of the people they consider to be ‘lesser’. Israel used that to advertise to such alt right people so that they can continue to violently colonise more Palestinian land. The people that do not condone apartheid and genocide were more likely to leave in the last decades (if they were able to) leaving those still there as a minority.

Netanyahu’s popularity rose with the invasion and large scale bombings of civilian targets in Libanon. That should tell you enough about what most Israeli’s think of the genocide.

Remember when the Israeli public did riot and protest and stormed a police office, because they wanted the military to have the right to gang rape random people.

I'm sure there are some in Israel who might not approve but I feel like the vast majority approves of this. You don't decide to live in Israel unless you're Zionist.

Have you seen videos of interviews with Israelis or translated some Hebrew Facebook posts? The whole society is sick. They would cheer this on and demand more violence.

There are protests that are being severely repressed against Netanyahu's government. Don't generalize an entire people; it's the same propaganda as saying that all Gazans are terrorists.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago

Hmmm yeah nah. most Israelis are supportive of rape against Palestinians, supportive of the war in Gaza, Supportive of the wider Zionist project.

They're protesting against the consequences of their actions.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No.

There are protests against the hostages not being recused.

Show us a protest against the genocide and war crimes.

Simple Google search: https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/c722pyj1zm1o

There are tons of anti-war protests in Israel. You're just not hearing about them because you don't bother to look.

I see a "Bibi ~~def~~Ender of Israel" sign in that second screenshot you posted. Doesn't sound like those guys are too happy about Bibi or the war.

How about unless you know every Israeli, you don't just paint them all with the same brush? The people are not the government, and Israeli protesters are being suppressed with extreme violence: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-06-21/ty-article-magazine/.premium/israeli-police-crack-down-on-protesters-with-violence-false-arrests-and-surveillance/00000190-3a6a-dea6-add5-faea16460000

This shit needs to end, Bibi is going to start World War Fucking Three at this rate, but do not for a second believe that the Israeli population is united behind him. They're not, no matter what the poll numbers Bibi approves for publication might say.

in this case you would imagine that it would be easy to show an organised anti war, pro peace movement in Israel?

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's shocking to me that there are still "people" that support this so called country.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 month ago

More war crimes, for fuck sake.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago

2nd verse, same as the 1st.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Wow, Terrorists are penetrating into the country in every aspect

[–] [email protected] 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Jeeze, do they just target civilian locations exclusively?

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 month ago

This is actually indicative of follow up strikes. A war crime meant to discourage health workers from evacuating wounded after an air or artillery strike. It's not something that just randomly happens.
