Tinned fish/preserved seafood enjoyers of this thread, what's your favourite place (not colesworth) to get the goods?

Editing this just to elaborate on my request. I'm mostly looking for fancy stuff like Ortiz, Jose Gourmet, Little Tin Co.

For. @[email protected] very much WIP but it’s getting there

an incomplete patchwork sofa

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

That's really good. Are you appliquing all the pieces on or a different method? Sorry I can't see very well at the moment because I've been crocheting this afternoon and my eyes are fucked now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Yeah it’s all appliquΓ© in place. Hence the bottom side bits being a mega mega butt pain.

I've kept my daughter's old flannelette pjs which I intend to make into a quilt some day. You've inspired me to start on it. Thanks.

great big white and teal bits first mostly, then more fiddly or decorative later

Wow, that's some major sewing there. πŸ‘The peacocks are so lovely too. :)

The kids have messaged me, "Mum there's a cockroach in Nan's!" What are your tried and true cockroach problem solvers?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Shriek and get someone else to deal with it

If that fails, I’ve heard that borax and sugar traps work well

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 months ago

Smeg once posted about baits of mixed Borax and icing sugar. I put it in small tinfoil bowls where the cat can't get to them and it seems to be working quite well

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

Sticky traps.

Chemicals just get you roaches with extra and curly wings

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 months ago

cats are pretty good cockroach catchers but they will kiss you with that mouth an hour later

Drunken Scot sees something coming out the pub. Thereafter publicity stunt.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Naw. Can we at least run to a drunken publicity stunt where somebody has no pants?
