This comic follows on from the Previous comic which will almost certainly provide context.

This is peak political strategy, we all know it.

Ironically enough, I've had campaigns where just doing what the priestess suggested would have been a better solution than what the party ended up deciding to do.

This is my second favorite solution!

My favorite solution is fireball.

Nothing but fireball.

Is there a way to read this storyline in chronological order from the start? Like Patreon or such? Tried the website to buy well there's the bot problem preventing it from loading, and the Tumblr I didn't figure out the order.

Then again maybe reading a comic in backwards order could be interesting too

With the website as it is (we're migrating servers to a setup with more features), your best bet is probably the tumblr archive

https://socksandpuppets.tumblr.com/archive

The archive is "most recent first", so you'd have to open comics in reverse order (and skip over non-Konsi comics) - the first one is in February 2020

However, give me a moment, I can set you up with something that might be easier.

Alright, I'll send you a link via DM. Anyone else who needs this, just drop me a message and I'll hook you up.

I'd love that link too if that's alright. Last time I tried to read Konsi in order, I kept getting sidetracked and reading all your other comics. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it's not what I set out to do.

I shall send you a DM!

This is exactly the kind of challenge I love. How can Konsi do all the good she wants to do without damaging the church's reputation? Does she need to become a bit of a revolutionary, change the status quo to improve the lives of those in need? If she does, the voices saying her church is interfering in the government will only get stronger, so it's a fight for public opinion. And how far do her funds actually go when she's working on the scale of the landed gentry? What kind of adventurer powers can help in a situation like this? Is the government secretly run by Mindflayers? There's only one way to find out

Yeah, it's this kind of content that I think tabletop excels at where nothing else does - you can really get into the weeds when it comes to the wider ranging implications of what you're doing.

These characters started in Dragon Heist (Alexandrian Remix) - having done all of the content in it... The powers that be in the city have good reason to be concerned about these idiots.

Always happy to see these comics on my feed. Usually there's even couple older ones I haven't yet read :)

One of the reasons that it's only every other week or so is because I space them out with other silliness that also comes into my head....

worships Fortune

becomes extremely wealthy

Time to impugn her reputation! Wait, hold on...

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago

The reason the temple of Tymora in Waterdeep is so wealthy is that they uh...

While they don't openly promote a prosperity gospel, they don't prevent the nobles of the city from subscribing to it.

Nice, Missed the previous episode, I tend to like when the PC find out they put themselves in a political mess by messing with the wrong person, suddently the game prep becomes so All these persons hate you, you're remaining friends start to doubt, and both the city guards and assassins guild wants you, what do you do?

And indeed, in general sitting down crying and doing nothing isn't a solution

Wait... Since when is Konsi a Senior Priestess? When did that happen?

[–] [email protected] 32 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

I think I probably forgot to specify during the date, but the promotion there leapfrogged over regular Priestess. She went from Junior priestess to Senior Priestess.

Difficult to get all the little details from campaign events into speech bubble format while also trying to tell a story haha.

Konsi's the most powerful priestess in the temple (she's actually more powerful than the High Priestess)

Konsi’s the most powerful priestess in the temple (she’s actually more powerful than the High Priestess)

And that means she gets to deal with the difficult problems!
