That's pretty awesome. Well earned, I think. The risk of rain games were all splendid under their ownership, and only recently took a nosedive with gearbox fucking up a working machine.

Thought I was in the Dune community for a minute. :-)
Since Risk of Rain has been coop it would be nice if they were brought on to work on a new coop title, since I'm not always in the mood for pvp and the commitment it can require to stay ahead in order to not get stomped.
A co-op title… featuring… Alyx Vance, Gordon Freeman, Isaac Kleiner, and Dog. Play along as they tear their way through combine to seek the ultimate time travelling device. The Borealis. With new weapons and over 1000+ skins, maps, and more, we'll make this new co-op title your hottest thing of the year.
I wonder if it's for something new or for something already in the works.
Well, that sounds like the beginning of the end.
These guys have it made if you ask me. They sold development for Risk of Rain 2 to Gearbox (which, turned out not so great for Risk of Rain 2, but they were done developing it themselves anyway) and probably got a decent bit of money out of that, then they partnered with Gearbox to crank out a beautiful remaster of Risk of Rain. Now they have jobs at a company that paid out about $450 million to its 336 employees in 2021. I've been following these guys since DEADBOLT, and it's nice to see them set up with cush jobs. No doubt they have leftover money from Gearbox; I'm sure these guys will set off on their own to make a passion project when the time comes.
