This is genuinely depressing. Are we really this alienated already? She was 60 :(

Happy labor day I guess

When I'm feeling too happy, I wonder how long it would be before someone found me dead. I live alone and work remotely, so my boss and coworkers might be confused or annoyed if I didn't login to work for days, but probably wouldn't call the police or anyone for a while. I have group chats with friends and call family, but not really on a regular schedule, so not responding for 3-4 days wouldn't be weird. I just hope my cat would find food or eat my corpse to survive.

The guess I have for myself would be 1-2 months. I have very few obligations, my work would probably call and email that I'm laid off, my family doesn't tend to hear from me except a couple times a year and it's not uncommon for me to go weeks or a month+ without interacting with my friends.

I live alone, no pets, so I'd probably start stinking before the apartment complex comes in to figure it out

I feel you, I have trouble finding the motivation to keep up with friends and family at times. I can go a week or two without texting or responding to texts. If it weren't for my partner I'd probably be in the same boat

See this is why everyone should return to the office so things like this don’t go unnoticed!

-Some C level executive, probably

There was no signs of foul play at Wells Fargo?

Upper management looking at the day/time of death to make sure her pay stops then...

You could be 5 minutes late and not hear the end of it but die on the clock...

To be fair, she died on a Friday, so two of those days were the weekend, and the article states she sat in an underpopulated area of the office. It's still sad but it's not like people were walking past her, ignoring her condition.

She didn't even have family members notice her missing either
