This right here is why I have no faith in and plan for zero participation in electoral politics. I might be trapped in the belly of the modern-day Gomorrah, but it's like-- what if La Riva made it onto EVERY state ballot for presidency and won? This'd be the exact outcome; except instead of like-- Kamala refusing to pencil-whip Claudia after her win, it'd be a horde of faceless electors just handing the seat to somebody else.
This is exactly how bourgeois "democracy" (read: kleptocracy of capital) functions. Be damned the people's choice if it doesn't benefit the capitalist parasites, they're going to anoint whoever will make them the most money and spill the most 'undesirable' blood while doing it.
