Considering that the coward kremlin parasite wouldn't dare leave the prison it has created for itself of a 10 meter table with bulletproof glass in the middle, and of flying exclusively over russian and chinese airspace - maybe also turkish and indian - this headline is a very roundabout way of simply saying: "Mexico's new president will take the oath and assume office next month" and leave it at that.

So many narratives that do not need the kremlin and its' parasites inserted in there, and this is one of them.

@niktemadur @ModerateImprovement He can't cheat Death forever. For all his precautions, he will die one day. I can only hope to live long enough.

Nothing in this extremely short article indicates anyone from Russia has any intention of attending the inauguration.

Putin is not going to turn up in Mexico. Mexico might not care much about the war in Ukraine, but the US does and would be rather easy to do it for Mexico.

The United States arresting the President of Russia while they are in Mexico would be the definition of "Political Crisis" and it would likely result in Russia declaring war on the United States and potentially the Netherlands, and thus NATO, as well.

No-one is getting arrested. But we would like to offer mr Putin a nice hot cup of tea. Near this window on the 20th floor.

The US would not arrest Putin, Mexico would. The US just happens like have an interest in arresting Putin and a lot of leverage over Mexico. That is besides it being international law, so most countries would actually like that.

Also nobody Russia would not start a war over the arrest of Putin. Anybody in the Russian leadership, who has the power to declare a war against the US, Netherlands, Mexico and/or NATO also has the power to replace Putin. So why would they try to bring Putin back, so Putin can take their power?

That's you and your comment was clearly talking about the United States arresting Putin in Mexico. That's why I responded the way that I did.

Also nobody Russia would not start a war over the arrest of Putin.

That's easy to say here on the Internet but the extra-national arrest of a countries current Head of State is no small thing and it's plenty likely that Russia (or any other country) would strongly object.

So why would they try to bring Putin back, so Putin can take their power?

All 120 or so people at the top of the Russian Hierarchy are loyal to Putin personally, that's why.

What happens when one of the 120 odd power brokers calls up the Hague and says "You release Putin and we stop war tomorrow and pay Ukraine 500 Billion in reparations. You don't release Putin and we come for him anyway."

That's some wicked calculus for the ICC to deal with.

Then you misread. I used the word "for" and not "in" Mexico.

When Wagner marched on Moscow , that was a direct thread to Putin. The military flew a few attacks against them, but for the most part Wagner just marched onto Moscow for days seized Russian towns and nearly all of the rest of the Russian security forces did just do nothing. So those guys who did nothing to protect Putin, when he a few thousand men marched against Moscow to take power are supposed to start a war to against a few million men, which are better armed and have nukes to bust Putin out of prison?

Then you misread. I used the word “for” and not “in” Mexico.

Since he'd be IN Mexico, at their invitation, where else do you imagine arresting him "for" Mexico?

Please, enlighten me on how you see this happening without it happening in Mexico.

Russian General: God damn USA just ruined my 2 years of planning to slip some polonium into Putin's tea so I could take over!

CIA have done far worse "political crises" all over the world. Why would Mexico of all countries object to unsanctioned US military ops ???

No one needs to know when Putler disappears.

Putin: so will you arrest me?

Mexico: Of course not...

...

At least putin will have to think about being arrested lol.

Make it a trillion because that's at least how much money would be saved if that sack of dog farts were put up against a wall.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

Only 1?? With how much we spend on the war you think it would be higher than that.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

This is almost certainly not happening, but it would be absolutely hilarious if that's how the Putin regime ended.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

What are the odds they'll do that? Or that Putin just won't show up then? Could he do that?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

I lolled when I read that request. The odds are lol

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What are the odds they’ll do that?

Zero. We're staunchly and traditionally neutral on foreign conflicts, for better or for worse. :/

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I disagree - Mexico is a Rome statute signatory, meaning that (theoretically) they're legally obligated to arrest Putin on arrival as the ICC has issued a warrant for him

Afaik their diplomatic neutrality wouldn't override their legal obligations

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

I don't think this matters since we're only extending the invitation to be polite knowing he won't show up anyway.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Regardless, it's extremely unlikely'

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

I doubt he'll go out of his bunker anyway

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

It's Mexico. $500 would override their legal obligations.

(Please don't crucify me, I spent a lot of time there and absolutely love Mexico, it's culture and it's people ❤️... But damn if I didn't spend a lot of money on bribes)

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

What always gets me is how do you know how much to bribe people for? Did you have to ask around? Do they actually tell you?

I just picture me slipping a border guard a fiver and being so insulted he arrests me lol

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Then offer more. A quick end to the war to save $100 billion or so is worth a lot of money. Offer enough and maybe even the cartels decides they'd like to help uphold the law
