I left when they made shields only upgradable by doing damage. If you're not a top-tier player you're now just cannon fodder for those who are.
I used to really love this game. It has so much potential to be more than a battle royale, but it took like 4 years to get a permanent non BR gamemode. Battle passes only work if your players don't get burnt out... And don't get me started on collection events 2: electric boogaloo, this time with more gambling!
They literally blocked me from playing duos, and I can't even fall back to arenas because that's been gone for even longer, leaving the only mode I'm mildly interested in playing to be mixtape, which rotates through game-types that have the mechanical depth of a puddle.
I like some of changes in recent seasons, the ability upgrades, the new class passives, the new shield leveling...
But I can't play duos with my one other friend who still plays so it's moot.
They need to properly support TF2.
They need to release TF3. Hell add a battlepass, just give us the satisfying movement system and Titans back.
Titanfall is hands down the most fun I’ve ever had with a shooter. I didn’t even like titan combat, 99% of the time I just ordered mine around in AI mode and played like a lil robot killing ninja. Only game where my team could get their shit kicked in the whole match, lose by a wide margin, and it would still be a real fun experience.
Burn cards were a terrible fucking idea tho.
TF2 was the perfect mix of Unreal Tournament and Mech Warrior.
