Coffee blend ordered today while on special from a cafe in Hurstbridge.

Heard due to their special there might be delays but I hope my order is ready for pickup before Sunday so my friend can pick it up for me.

What did I order? A coffee blend of Guava, apricot, pineapple and mango.

I can’t wait to try it but nervous it won’t be ready for me in time.

Just an old scraped practitioner profile with the attached email being [email protected]. I hope we get right to be forgotten laws here.

Yes. I regularly check as I have a unique name so anything is traceable. Socials are locked down. Linked in is up for career purposes, but still relatively locked down. Don’t mind sports results.

I'm the only one in Aus who has my name. My surname is my families in Australia, so you'd be able to find my dad and uncle too.

I'm pretty much absent from the internets

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

I used that Google security function recently which goes off to see where you're mentioned and it happily said nowhere. I have a blog out there with numerous photos of my face on it but there's nothing linking my full name to it. I just Googled my name and found my Facebook profile though. This was using my shortened name which I generally use. Searching with my full name has nothing I can see. Weird.. my Google account uses my name to post Google reviews and I've done a couple but they didn't show up in a search.

Anyways.. feeling pretty ok about my online presence. I know all of my email addresses have been compromised but there isn't much I can do about that besides keep good MFA security and spam filters on those.

My real name is out there unfortunately because I worked on a community project some years ago but you’d need specific information on what I worked on to find it.

I hope your cat will forgive you for your transgression.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Yep. Mostly comes up with product reviews and a few letters to the editor.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

I used to google my name several times as a teen but not so much now (sounds like that old euphemism). I know my real name is on a couple of publicly available reports and LinkedIn. Never googled my username though, I only ever use this on reddit and Lemmy. I could do with a good purge though

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

My name is quite unique, and my last job put me and my photos on some online reporting sites, so yeh if you google me you find me!

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

I try not to publicly put my name anywhere I don't have to, so my full name has no results. Baku seems to be a pretty common username, so not many personal results there, although I've definitely said more here/on Reddit than I should've. my Reddit username only has a couple of results, one from a shitty buzzfeed article that exploited my willingness to help a tourist for clicks, and the rest from dodgy reddit mirrors. And my discord username is, well, a discord username. there's only a single result for it from outside Discord

Moved to new apartment. Landlord proactively warned us that the oven, stove, the bathroom heater and hot water are on one circuit and to avoid using them all together.

Breaker for this outside of our internal switchboard and is only accessible by OC (not the landlord nor agent). From the message, feels like the landlord might have copped 3 days without power.

Friend just told it's unacceptable/below standard. Going to email agent to get this fixed, any good references I can use during this argument?

(on another note, we wouldn't have rented this place if we knew the parking space is going to be dark, dusty, musty, and hard to drive in/out. Am lucky we are driving a small car, because I'm fairly certain anything a Corolla Cross or larger won't fit at all)

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Sounds like it’s not compliant and as a landlord, I have to get electrical inspections done and issues fixed as a requirement. Just re-did the switchboard on my investment property recently and it cost $2k. You can ask the agent for compliance/reporting info on electrical and switchboard.

How come you moved out of your old joint if I might ask? Rent went up too high?

The place I've been in the past 3 years is annoying to park into and very barely fits a small SUV. Parking spots are generally gonna be pretty ordinary with apartments...

Yep, it's 2k/mo for a 1bed. Now we're 2k/mo in a 2bed plus a living room itself that's bigger than the old place whole. And also so my wife's parents can visit.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, that would definitely be worth moving for, although the switchboard situation doesnt sound great. For 2k/month I'd definitely be expecting a 2 bed. Same location?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Unfortunately not, but it's not too far from the old place.

Fair enough, these days you do need to move a bit further out to get a decent deal. I know someone who bought a rather shabby 2br w/ parking in Carlton and rents it out for 550/week. Prices are nuts...

Seems that the circuit breaker is too small for the load, which I believe is against regs. I would check with an electrician that might point you to the right standards.

It does not seem right at all!

Managed through a property manager and a formal rental agreement? Hmm. I'd play this a bit clever. Intentionally trip it on days when you know the OC can get you back up and running. Over a week or 2 build up a report, when it tripped and how long it took to get resolved, then report to the property manager that it isnt safe/feasible to wait X ammount of time to get your power back.

That way if you gotta breach 'em and go before VCAT it helps you already have logs and experience with the issue.

Keep in mind, this is gonna sour the relationship with the landlord though. Be prepared to move in 12 months, but it doesnt sound like that'd be a huge loss anyway.

Today's been a productive day. I sorted out the meeting with my current school to unenrol, that's happening next Thursday. I sorted out the situation with my new TAFE school, and although it's not officially processed and I'm not enrolled yet, she said there shouldn't be any issues. The program manager ordered one of the replacement phones, and said she'll organise the replacement MacBook before the end of the day (though she seems busy so I'm not holding my breath). I called the police man back (I only had 5 minutes before a GP appointment when he rang so I said I'd call back). He wanted me to send him an email with photos of all the damage as well as an itemised list of everything that's damaged or stolen.

I thought it may be an issue that I've been finding more things missing every day since the police report, so the police report doesn't have a complete list, but he said it's no problem and that tends to happen to most people. So I sent him that email. And then I went and made a psychologist appointment I've been putting off for a while.

Also the DT is at 178 comments and it's only 3pm. Guess I'm not the only one having a productive day!

Edit: unfortunately it seems the psych I chose is retiring at the end of the year, so she called to let me know she cancelled my appointment. She was the only person I found on the find a psych thingy that specialised in my problems and looked friendly :/

I have been productive today too. Took some parcels to the post office that I've been putting off for ages, done some washing, organised a bunch of breakfasts, sorted out the rubbish bins and did some weeding.

The cats' napping has infected me with the sleepies and I've gotta go pick up the papou 😭
