This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.

This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.

We have a Matrix homeserver and a Matrix space. See this thread for more information. If you believe the server may be down, check the status on status.elara.ws.

40 C, humid, hazy as fuck so everything is sticky and grimey, mad unpleasant

Global warming finally got me thinking about getting air conditioning

We had to install 2 units before spring came (parents' room and living room) and now we have to get one for our our room as well, because it's so hot, the other 2 units can not sustain the healthy 5 degrees in other places of the house.

A funny (sad?) observation I made while on holiday in Madeira. In Belgium we hire a lot of Portugese construction workers as they are cheaper than Belgian ones. But, over here in Portugal, they seem to hire Bangladesh or Indian workers for the same reason. Funny how capitalism works, right?

Hungarian workers go to work in the UK, Germany or Austria, while some Romanian, Ukrainian or Slovaks come here. The remaining 2 of the top 5 are the Philipino and Chinese nationalities.

I looked at r/olympics and just now whenever I saw something about Israel participating, pro-Palestinian comments were downvoted or removed and pro-Israeli comments upvoted. Goddamnit.

it's a liberal server dominated by westerners and those from the third world who fetishise western ways and western thought, like most of these big subreddits, it's no surprise honestly

First mistake was listening to Orwell...

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

That's also the second and third mistake.

it's somehow that the nordic countries are socialists because of some basic welfare, but China and Cuba who have even more welfare aren't socialist? even in their shitty understanding of socialism they don't apply logic

"Reddit"

There's your issue.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

All good American comrade. Also, if I may ask, you seem to have dropped the "CPUSA" tag from your username, any particular reason for that?

When was this done? According to https://www.unrwa.org/tags/india the latest such donation was in 2022.

Recently, couple days ago. Indian embassy in Palestine announced on their Instagram. Might take some time to be reflected in the records. This is part of a new $100 million plan and this was the first tranche.

Not willingly, they can't easily forsake India's tradition of helping Palestine as easily as they would like.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

Hard to believe, I know

India gave a big help to Palestine! First installment of 2.5 million dollars released.
India will provide 5 million in aid to Palestinian refugees through UNRWA this year.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

That's good, at least.

I'm currently sitting on an Island. I'm staying in a house that has a deck with a view on the Atlantic Ocean. I'm surrounded by green and by some sort of farms. One of the locals gave me a basket full of bananas and figs from one of the farms. It will be perfect weather all week.

In situations like this I wonder why I bother living in an expensive country with constant rain and miserable people. I'm aware things won't be perfect in a place like this either but I'm willing to bet I'd be a bit happier.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

Moments like this are bittersweet because you kinda realise how things that make life shitty are unnecessarily shoved upon you an inefficient and oppressive socioeconomic system for the benefit for a tiny minority.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

That sounds wonderful! I Joel your vacation goes well! : )

As a British person I can relate.

Yeah, Mediterranean is great. Turkey is great. Dominican Republic is great. I wish I was there.

Edit: I'm Turkish and Dominican, btw.

Update on my previous comment: I have returned from my vacation

Been gone for a while, hows lemmygrad? It looks like less people are leaving comments since last time i was here.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

It goes through phases.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 3 months ago

It might not be a trend, maybe it's just how people's lives are each week. As well as the shared content might not be as 'commentable', but people still upvote, as far as I see.
