For my Ryzen 9 7950X3D, should I get a 360 AIO liquid cooler or a Noctua air cooler?

I use a large tower cooler with a graphite pad because I'm kind of lazy, and fans are easy to replace should they go bad.

Can't speak for the 7950 but my 7900 idles near 60c and peaks at 85c on a 240mm aio. It's hotter than I'd like, but my understanding is that the X3D models run quite hot regardless of how much cooling you give them.

The single CCD X3Ds generally operate at a lower power budget. I think the same is true to an extent with the 7950x3d

You are always going to have to talk me down from Noctua.

I can't unassociate linus tech tips from noctua in my head and so can't bring myself to buy them given that channel's incredible bias and how much they shilled for them.

I mean I think everybody shills for them, they make amazing products

Go custom loop then you can slap Noctua fans on your rads.
