Do you live in Canada? Have you been impacted by pro-landlord policies? Are you curious to know if your member of parliament is a landlord or invested in real estate in some way?

If so, you’re in the right place.

Find Out If Your MP Is A Landlord

MPs are required to complete public disclosure reports that contain, in part, property they own, sources of income and investments. These reports tell us if our elected representatives, and/or their spouses/dependents, are landlords/invested in real estate. The federal government makes public disclosures for members of parliament accessible through an online tool at the website of the Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner.

While naming and shaming MPs for being landlords is a good thing.

The real issue lies with their Provincial counterparts who have more control over laws affecting tenants.

Is your city its own constituency?

So pretty much all of them. I'd assume most of those who are not landlords intend to become landlords and will vote pro landlord policies in anyway.
