High of 74 today? Seems nice.

This is the second day of the year it's been somewhat warm, it's not even hot in the shade and according to the met office I'm the hottest bit of the country.

Eat light summer meals, wear airy clothes, wash your face in cool water to remove salt from sweat, thin socks, thin shirt.

I'm sick of seeing people dressed like it's January eating foods designed to raise core body temp and doing activities under the midday sun complain that it's hot, then they spray antiperspirants all over themselves.

Drink more water.

My wife, who grew up in Cali, is still cold.

I'm trying to get to sleep (I work night shifts) but can't because it too bloody humid.

How do the Spaniards do it?

Have a bath, sleep naked.

fan works fine. Spent years in Korea where it regularly hits 35-40 during the summer. Big fan, about 2 feet from the bed, pointed directly at you and you sleep on top of the sheets.

Dehumidifier, less costly to run than an AC, feels better than AC.

I got mine from Screwfix.
