Enough Musk Spam

2115 readers
1 users here now

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

It's sad that it hasn't posted a new item in 566 days. Musk says stupid stuff all the time.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 months ago

jokes. What are they and from whence do they come?

Good job both of you on not spending 20 seconds to read the sidebar of the community you're in. Excellent attention to detail.

Fuck the sidebar; they make a good point. I'll never understand you people.

This community is literally all about posting Elon Musk links, so how the hell is that a good point? Just take a moment to look at the posts here. It's like complaining about too many Linux links in a Linux community.

The community is literally called "Enough Musk Spam". You're literally part of the problem. We're going in circles now.

From the sidebar about this community that you are choosing to ignore for some reason I cannot fathom:

My post is literally what this community is for. I'm sorry you don't like the name because it doesn't fit. Believe it or not, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is neither democratic nor a republic. Something about judging books by covers comes to mind, but I can't quite place it.

Imagine riding your fame and using semantics to attempt to make an invalid point through unearned upvotes... If the name of the community is X and your answer is Y, you're pushing a narrative and not looking reality in the eye.

Get a grip.

My fame? What the fuck are you talking about?

And you're telling me to get a grip when you can't accept what this community literally says it's for? I think you're just a troll at this point.

Regardless of the rules, anyone who links to a musk article here is obsessed with him.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 months ago

Cool. I didn't link to an article. You didn't even know that. Hilarious.

Also, no one forced you to comment here. Guess you have an obsession.

He think he's solving the world's problems, but his wealth precludes him from experiencing most of the world's problems, so he ends up just trying to appeal to other wealthy people with his businesses.
