Love this. I've had my suspicions about some of those channels that call their videos X culture of music and I'm glad to know more now about what's going on. Also, sometimes I've tried to search for authentic cultural music on youtube and find it difficult to know if I'm encountering it because of stuff like this.
GenZedong
This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.
This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.
We have a Matrix homeserver and a Matrix space. See this thread for more information. If you believe the server may be down, check the status on status.elara.ws.
Rules:
- No bigotry, anti-communism, pro-imperialism or ultra-leftism (anti-AES)
- We support indigenous liberation as the primary contradiction in settler colonies like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Israel
- If you post an archived link (excluding archive.org), include the URL of the original article as well
- Unless it's an obvious shitpost, include relevant sources
- For articles behind paywalls, try to include the text in the post
- Mark all posts containing NSFW images as NSFW (including things like Nazi imagery)
We don't have even the right keyboards to search for it! That's why I love learning languages.

Should we have communities for music from around the world? Our favourites from each of our countries? :B

Damn. All that i can say is he is correct in the video when he says that non Middle Eastern people are being robbed of experiencing real music from the different regions of that area.
I've listened to some of his Turkish music and it was absolutely amazing, and nothing of what I've heard before that supposedly represents Turkish music.
Truly, thank you for this post and video.
I was expecting much less, and I got a beautifully deep video essay documentary this! I can see so many new colors, now.
