Watched "Luca" with the kids, which was entertaining enough for a kids movie to keep me involved. Also watched a short (9 minute) animation called "Kitbull" about a kitten making friends with a dog that unexpectedly really tugged at my heartstrings and left me a bit leaky around the eyes.

Adoption Certificate for Nellie, the Daily Thread numbat (with thanks to @Catfish)
Luca is such a sweet flick.
I enjoyed Turning Red massively as well. Late 90s early 00s Toronto setting Strick a lot of heart strings for me.
I was lucky to see this duo live. If you have the opportunity, do it. They are freaking rad....

They're so, so good.
Got my beard trimmed today. The barber complemented me in a very heavy arabic accent as follows 'My friend, you have very nice and soft skin'
Thanks?
I just murdered the shit out of a huge white tail spider. They are spiteful, angry creatures.
I'm also nearly out of bourbon.
Ooh haven't had any of those so far, I don't like them either, but I've had to put a few mummy long legs outside. I don't mind them but the kids are a bit anxious about them, despite me giving the spiderbro spiel. Especially the last two, they were actually quite large and leggy looking. The kids ask me to deal with it because I've got the knack for catching them, and they don't want them killed, just gone.
I leave Mr and Mrs Long Legs be but white tails can DIE
the bite stings like crazy too
What bourbon?
Jim Beam black cans. Not overly sophisticated but I'm a Melton basic bitch at heart.
That's too classy for Melton.
They run Woodstock tall boys
I guess I'm upper class Melton bred because I've always been a Beam boy.
Wild turkey packs more punch, but I get your sentiment
Got a $3500 bedframe for $600 today. The bedroom is now classy as - in stark contrast to the rest of the house
Nice. π

Stressful evening today, if saying something made me feel distressed or angry why would someone keep doing that when I've previously and said again how it makes me feel?
Anyway I'm hoping to maybe watch a movie tonight, get some dinner soon and maybe comfort myself with ice cream or crack open a bottle though I know drinking too much isn't good for my body.
I really need some time out from the drama.
hugs
That is not ok.
Years ago in art class Lao Shi said that it's best to do ones work at the same time of day everyday. And I found that to be true, I like to do my art practice and my art work after lunch. I prefer to study languages in the morning and I have always studied the hard stuff like sciences at nigh, unless there is an exam then I'm cramming all day.
Weekends are a flurry of hard housework.
So that is how I will organise my days. With time for PT and exercise every 2nd or 3rd day.
I have a new organiser/trolley I can put next to my desk/table too. Have ordered some new calligraphy pens for doing italics.
Not having depression is awesome. π€
In the morning when I have my first cup of tea, I sit down with a pen and paper and list everything I need to do including meal plans. Sometimes it takes two cups of teas.
That sounds like a great idea. ππ»
Slow day today. Made plans to go to the beach tomorrow with a friend. So that's exciting! Breaks the isolation a lot.
Iβve seen neither Mean Girls or The Colour Purple. Both have now been remade as musicals, so I figure they are classics for a reason. Not sure if Mean Girls is my thing, but giving it a go tonight. The Colour Purple is more serious so Iβll save that for when I feel like concentrating more.
Update: Mean girls is hilarious! Laughed out loud several times.
Tina Fey is a goddess of comedy. I slept on Mean Girls for way too long because it didn't seem marketed at my demographic but it's so good.
Same. I mistakenly thought it was a teen flick. Itβs about teens, but not for teens. A lot of the jokes would go straight over their heads. Some very clever comedy in there.
30 Rock is possibly the best written comedy show.
It is phenomenal. Although Arrested Development might be in contention too. I will admit that I've binge re-watched 30 Rock waaaaaaaay more times.
AD is great but too clever for it's own good.
I'm on my 4th or 5th 30 Rock rewatch and I'm still finding new things.
The pill that keeps people awake, sponsored by the Pentagon and the WNBA is a fucking harsh joke.
Suddenly find myself alone for the evening, so now I'm thinking of inviting the six pack in my fridge to my Wonderfalls rewatch marathon.
Two totally different front yards side by side. I know which one would be mine.
In other news, it hot π₯΅ Definitely not going anywhere tomorrow. Cocobella coconut water is half price at woolies, imma stock up on like 8 cartons the way back so I don't need to lug it around in the heat. Thank goodness it doesn't look like a humid night
Deciding to play Sims or The Last of Us.
What a lovely drive. Ended up fanging a left at Harcourt instead of going all the way to Bendigo, cruised the A300 through to Daylesford. Chucked another lefto and headed for Ballan to get on the Western. Stopped in Bacchus Marsh for cheaper fuel and wash the front of my car (I have dubbed my windscreen Mothsbane, Scourge of the Skies. The Cabbage Splat Kid. Breaker of Wings.) and then ended up in Melton where I bought supplies for some snags in bread and a 10 pack of Beam Blacks.
My parents have taken off with their caravan up to the border for a couple of weeks so I'm going to take advantage of their split system, comfy couch and spare bed for the evening.
To your health, Prost!
Adventures in television.
Netflix. Imagine my delight while surfing Neflix menu I saw a Bottersnikes and Gumbles show, At last.
Animation was lovely, excepting that the Bottersnikes didn't go red enough about the ears and nose when angry and the Gumbles were pink instead of blue. Nice Gumbles had moderated middle class accents. Those comical ugly Bottersnikes had Ocker accents.
The stories were absolute shit.
The cute Gumbles were constant arseholes to the recycling wizard Bottersnikes.
Second lot of unit inspections done.
First is the favourite - unfortunately owners seem committed to going to auction. Also small kitchen and no dishwasher and no room for one. π.
Second was nice but kinda small overall, though more storage space in the kitchen and a dishwasher.
Still got a month and a bit before I really have to choose something, and the estate agent I'm in touch with most said a few places will be ready very soon, so fingers crossed!
My post said it didn't post but then it did π€ anyone else having this issue?
Had this when I was posting using Sync, had to embarrassingly delete 3 duplicate posts.
That's what I had to do as well! It seemed every time I hit the send button it posted but told me it didn't. I'm using Jerboa which has been working fine for me so far.
