It seems that the Steam app only supports with X11 (and with Wayland, I need to use xwayland to run it).

How can I enable native wayland support? And if I can't, is there perhaps a mod or alternative steam client that will enable me to do so?

can you run steam on linux if you only run wayland?

Not OP but I get flickering in it on an nvidia card. Should be fixed in the next few months with explicit sync protocol getting finalised and a driver update though

It's not even limited to nvidia, I also get it on intel igpu (i5-2320, ancient, I know).
