I'm watching this doco called Love has won: the cult of mother God. Right at the start we are told that Mother God has passed on and her body is still warm so she must be a God. Um no. I think it has to do with the thousand and one Christmas lights wrapped around her mummified corpse. But I'm no scientist. Then it's apparent they are tripping on hallucinogenics non stop throughout the day. No wonder they are seeing angels. This is fucking hilarious.

Nothing makes me feel richer than buying something that's hidden behind the counter and only has empty boxes on the shelves

spoilerExcept of course the fact that even a single $1 stamp is hidden behind the counter now

Are you responsible enough with that stamp young friend?

One day you'll be able to tell the younger generation "back in my day we had stamps and they kept them behind the counter".

I don't think so old friend. I had to google how the hell they worked and even now I'm essentially just guessing. It said it's $1.20 postage to Melbourne, so I think it'll arrive. In any case, I learnt through an eBay seller that Auspost don't just refuse to deliver if you don't put enough stamps on, they just make the recipient pay the difference, so I can't really mess up (I think)

I have no idea but my guess will be that it will still get there because the price of stamps have just gone up.

She'll be right

That's so cool!

Back in my day the local post office was a tiny little cubicle with a slidey window (looked a bit like a confessional booth) that sat inside a wool shop. It was also run by my prep teacher so I sometimes got to see her on the school holidays.

Fuckin ay 5 cents? I paid $1.20 a stamp 😭😭

Kittenpants was swaying a little while sitting so I was worried about the infection moving to her inner ear. Tied her normal carrier to the pram frame and dragged our butts down to emergency. Yep. Ear infection. They prescribed her more drops but didn't have the ear cleaner wash in stock.

I'm completely wiped out for the next few days, the normal vet and pet shop will likely be shut tomorrow and so I've ordered the ear cleaner wash online and will wipe her ears out with warm water until that arrives. Pet shop didn't have fast delivery... I'm wondering if I should have chanced it in an uber tomorrow morning and just seen if somewhere was open :(

Lovely. I like that orange shade.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

it's not a spectacular flower but the colour shading is definitely nice

husband insists on playing tv shows with very loud bass sound bar. we have a tiny lounge area and a small screen. I just can't even stay in the same room, even if it's a show I love

it's not immersive, it's unreal and doesn't add to the experience ,

Put in around 70 applications on seek and contacted recruiters on LinkedIn.

May as well get straight back into it I guess.

Wishing you the best of luck!

It was only a little itty bitty tiny weenie bit of fluffy wind at the dinner table and I immediately knew that was a mistake.

yesterday's garlic chorizo caught up with you, eh

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

Nah my body's way of saying "it's that time of month soon. Let me give you a belly rumble and a backache" as a warning.

I've decided Marketing Cloud isn't for me and I think I'll find another job.

Some rather promising Victorian State Government (multiple positions) roles have come up so I'll try my luck

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

How are you finding government roles? On seek?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) (1 children)

Careers.vic.gov.au is the best site, I got my SRO contract role through there in 2021. It's a really good site for public service roles!

Thanks so much!!!

Gawd walking to dans for goon just now after shifting those couches to the tip yesterday has roooned me.

Quads are on fire.

On the plus side all the neighbours were out doing their gardening things on the way home all saying hello to eachother so that was wholesome.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

This morning I was saying g'day to all the adeladinans that walked past me. I got 3 hellos from 9 gdays, but the 6 who didn't reply all had earphones in so they get a pass I guess
