@Pirata Thought of starting to use Freenow as well. It sucks that this was the way to make room for Lyft in Europe...
I'll still rely on public transit fwiw. Had some poor experience lately that made me reconsider using this type of service at all...
We actually had a local alternative here, BEAT. Then FreeNow bought it and we had to switch apps which was annoying but hey at least it wasn't Uber. Now this gets bought too. I guess it's either Uber or Lyft now.
Bolt still exists!!! And tends to be cheaper than Uber.
Bolt came here this year apparently so I may try it next time. Still not available in most cities though :/

I had already gotten rid of my account because they were exploiting local taxi drivers pretty horribly in a similar way to delivery apps vs local restaurants.
But now I might be able to convince friends to delete their accounts.

The process is very simple:
In the 'Main contact reason' section, select 'GDPR' and in the Subject type 'I want to delete my account'. Make sure to use the email address registered to your FREENOW account
