I enjoyed sprint weekends this year and I'm excited to see what they will do this year to change them up. I might be in the minority on this but I did like how it changed the weekend up from the typical format. Hopefully the change they will implement adds to the excitement of sprint weekends.

Think the biggest issue with sprint for me was the parc ferme happening after one practice session. I think they should try letting teams change the setup based on data gathered in the sprint
Yea I fully agree. There were times when setup was the clear problem for a sprint and it could have been fixed for the GP, which would have shaken things up.
They have changed the order of sprint weekend for 2024. No confirmation on if they will move parc ferme but seems more doable now with the main quali taking place after the sprint race
I disliked how it effectively took over the whole weekend. With 4 sessions to watch you can't really do anything else significant that weekend.
I ended up just skipping Saturdays completely, probably not what they were aiming for....
I still think it diminishes the surprise of how the positions will shake out but removing their influence on the GP made them more enjoyable
I wonder what the reason was for dropping the wheel cover display idea. Too gimmicky? Too much weight? Too complicated/costly to implement?
I'm betting weight. Teams won't even paint their cars but also slap screens on the wheels lol
Plus added wheel weight is the worst kind of weight: unsprung weight. You donβt get to make changes to how that weight is distributed. Itβs just there, making your car perform worse.
They really need a rule that makes them paint the whole car, or ban having exposed carbon fibre. Half the grid looked ugly af last year.
The capital spending limit change is definitely a step in the right direction I think. James Vowles has talked quite a bit about how Williams is unable to make basic capital upgrades and catch up to other teams. The cost cap essentially locked in a major disadvantage for them.
