My first post using Lemmy since Reddit. I hope I am posting this right. Made this Hollow Knight for a friend.

That's really well done, it looks so amazing. Also I love that shop, they have some of the cutest stuff.

Thank you. They definitely do. Quality patterns.

Beautiful. Hollow Knight is such a wonderful game ☺

I struggle with the game so much. I don't know how anyone doesn't rage quit. Lol

It can definitely be frustrating. I'm a HUGE fan of using strategy guides and/or watching YT walkthroughs to get through certain things, otherwise I definitely wouldn't have finished the game. Actually played it twice and stopped at the same point (basically the boss of the expansion). CANNOT figure it out and I'm fine with that 😂

I think games should be intuitive. So I avoid walkthroughs as much as possible. If I have to consult them too much I don't bother playing the game.

That's an interesting point. On the other hand, "intuitive" might be some degree of subjective. Your point resonates though. Some games have been really enjoyable because things just...make sense.

Thanks! I had to stitch in a string from the inside of the horns that meets in the middle of the head to make enough tension to hold the horns in the right position. They kept flopping outward to the sides for some reason.

Nice! Looks great! While it's impressive how you fixed it with the string under tension, I adore the thought of the horns flopping around like ears, or even like one of the siblings

Well it wasn't super floppy. They just wouldn't keep their curve. Imagine doubling the gap between the tips of the horns.
