Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

Like, disable fast travel, fine, but at least me look at the map if I want to. You're already kicked out of menus and the map if you're attacked whilst perusing either. No reason to outright lock you out of it.
Sure, BOTW is an entirely different game, but it even let's you fast travel during combat, let alone look at the map. Don't have to go to such extremes - though why not, unless you're a purist - but restricting access to the map is just kinda silly

There’s really no point in barring you because you can always just quit to menu and load back in. Even mid boss fight you’ll just respawn outside the boss fog.
