MODERATORS
It shows "Gulf Of America" if you're in the USA. If you're in Mexico, it still shows as "Gulf Of Mexico".
It's showing the same in at least 3 European countries (Netherlands, Sweden, Poland), too, see: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/37545009
UK also matches Mexico's format.

No, they're just virtue-signaling goodness while being so closed that they can never really be trusted. Their maps will silently fall in line during the next big unrelated news cycle. Their "Find My" location spy network that tracks everything in America will then be put to task, among other evils one will never know about due to the OS and chips all being so closed to external observation.
