Plasma 6 Bugs

If you encounter a bug, proceed to https://bugs.kde.org, check whether it has been reported.

If it hasn't, report it yourself.

PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING HERE.

Developers do not look for reports on social media, so they will not see it and all it does is clutter up the feed.

LONG LIVE KDE!

Kdenlive will automatically let you know when there is an update available without even requiring an internet connection.

What? How? Will it check the local package manager database?

New versions of Kdenlive is released at regular intervals. When release day comes around, you'll get a notification.

@baduhai @kde because the version number follow the date. So if you are running 24.02.5 (published around May 2024) in 2026 something is wrong :)

Makes sense, but I'm fairly sure that would be a February 2024 release :)

@[email protected] @[email protected] Congratulations on this milestone! Been hearing positive feedback from people who’ve used it already, can’t wait to get my own hands on it :ablobcatbongo:

@[email protected] @[email protected] On that announcement page, on the video of the welcome screen for Plasma Mobile: the “wifi” screen renders only the title and a blank screen.

@[email protected] @[email protected] For me, the killer feature so far in #kde_plasma_6 is the huge performance improvement for screen sharing in #wayland

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

What software does one use for screen sharing on Plasma Wayland?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago

@toothpaste_sandwich In my case what I use most is screen sharing during meetings in Chrome/Firefox

@[email protected] @[email protected] would I be correct in assuming that it's now available in the Arch repo?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago

It's in the testing repo right now, but I'd expect it in the main repo pretty soon. End of the week, give or take.

  1. What's that driving game?
  2. It makes me nervous that they call X11 legacy when AFAIK they may never implement window shading on Wayland.

@[email protected] @[email protected] I'm excited to try it out in a few months when it hits the repos 💖

@[email protected] @[email protected] That looks awesome! Makes me wanna ditch Windows and give (Arch?) a spin! 🔥
