Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report the message goes away and you never worry about it.

Yup.
Too many people have Dancing With The Stars and Doritos and aren't willing to sacrifice that to stop a fascist takeover. Little do they know that by the time they lose those things, it'll be too late. And under the best case scenario that the fascist regime is overthrown after a few years and a ton of bloodshed, they'll then spend the rest of their lives living in a society being rebuilt and economically broken, assuming they're still alive.
Idiot humans that can't learn from history that's within living memory. Blow right past all the opportunities to avoid an awful future without shedding any blood. This November was probably the last opportunity for that.
Would gladly follow an organized movement of resistance instead of just protests, which doesn't involve getting drone striked 🤷
You would think the Ds would organize a movement but seems they only care about their own skins and have raised theirs hands and left it all to god, in the words of Hakeem Jefferies.
Only the likes of Bernie and AOC are voicing any sort of resistance. Any form of small resistance will only end in violent suppression with no coverage from MSM because they are in bed with the fascists.
There were resistance movements, some of which got quite famous. Most well-known to me would be Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Lutheran theologian who was quite vocal about his opposition to the Nazi regime and eventually participated in plans to assassinate Hitler. It failed, as we know, and he was sentenced to death for his role. He very much grappled with the question of whether murdering a tyrant was a sin, but eventually came to the conclusion that it had to be done either way.
He also petitioned the allies to differentiate between Germans and Nazis once the war was over, pertinent to your post.

If the status quo is NAZI and you do not challenge it ... then you will be remembered as a NAZI. That is all there is to this. And that is fair.

Survival, discretion and having plans matters. Martyrs can only do so much to rally people to a cause. What's the point of being yet another body in a Russian gulag if the govt manages to effectively erase you and everything you stood for? Loudly complaining and going to jail, with your family and friends being censored and monitored by the govt, will help how?
As an American I’m using my freedom of speech until they forcibly try to take it away. And then I will die fighting. We are currently witnessing a fascist coup in real time over here and there’s no real opposition to it either, the democrats are completely neutered and self interested in jockeying for the best positions under the fascist regime.
It’s sickening, and I’ve seen this coming for decades, shouting at the top of my lungs about where we were heading, only to be at best ignored or at worst mocked as hysterical. The Cassandra curse is real.

Well that's easy: everyone outside of the concentration camps more less supported them or did enough to not end up in one of the camps. Of course there were a bunch of rebellious groups of people who actively stood up against the government. Of some of them we know, others might have been forgotten. But I think with that we're already covering at least 75% of the population. You might find the list of companies involved in the holocaust interesting.
