Too bad there wasn't an open source alternative that he could provide lots of funding for... Oh wait there is.

Lmao you know ya fucked up when the Linux heavy Lemmy is like "uh dude that's a feature that works in Windows 11"

Typical Elon, only the shallowest surface level understanding of simple concepts, and thinks of himself as not just competent but an expert. You can still login to a clean Windows 11 install without a Microsoft account. And you can sell install Windows without an internet connection or linked account. And you can still prevent it from sending telemetry or auto updating. It all takes very little effort, and even shitty Google and Bing still return step-by-step walkthroughs on the first page of search results.

Meanwhile, he's too hypocritically dense to realize his own stupid company requires you to do the same thing he's complaining about, because of authoritarian changes he made...

Select "other sign in options" and then choose "domain join instead" and it will give you the option to create a local account.

You would think that a tech genius like Elon would be able to figure that out

That’s only on Windows 11 Pro.

For everything else, email [email protected] and some random password

Something something "this account doesn't work, create a local account"

Oh like I can't use X, formerly Twitter, without an account?

And my account will be used to train their AI.
