Giants didn’t even offer him but fought to keep Daniel Jones. That org is so fucked.
As an Eagles fan, I’m pretty happy about Saquon, but that’s not a fair comparison. Barkley was very clear that he was leaving, I don’t think he wanted to stay in NY for any amount of money.
Still feels weird to not even see an offer rolled out but looks like they were already looking onto the next. I suppose it's a business, first and foremost. Good FA for the Eagles though.
I'd say the latter is more egregious than the former.
Pull all the touches you can out of a RB when they enter the league and then let somebody else pay for the mileage. That's brutal but fairly conventional modern NFL logic. Maybe Saquon's still worth more, but it's not absurd.
Daniel Jones, though... he's not the guy. Just a higher-floor Mac Jones.
Yeah, RBs aren't in high demand like that but kinda wild to not even pitch him. I suppose they must've known where he was at and opted to go for Singletary as a result but the Giants are so bizarre to watch.
