(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

I'm kind of okay with this. It was a reasonable take -- not a hot take or an incendiary comment or something. Mods using their power to shut down discussion -- expected on that instance I guess ;)
This is my first time getting any sort of ban on any lemmy instance. Now I just need to get banned on a right-wing server for some other centrist take, to keep balance in the universe ;)
How many of you have experienced this on lemmy.ml?
There are sometimes insightful perspectives there that could lack in other instances. I much prefer to have access to .ml and .world news in my feed as well as .ml users in .world threads. Given the 50 years of neoliberal, anti-worker programming we've been showered with in the West, I appreciate points of view that challenge mine. I might not agree with the CPC schmoozing, but there's also useful opinions on workers' rights, democratic socialism, looking at problems from class perspective, etc.
