I'm all for supporting our EU businesses, but people should also be aware who are the investors behind some of these apps/softwares, etc. For instance, Microsoft invests in the company and more importantly Andreessen Horowitz (which backed the Trump campaign with millions and millions of USD).
I think realistically it’s going to be difficult to find something that ticks all boxes from a political, profit, investor, ceo way etc so at some point it’s about choosing which one is most important to you.
As it happens I moved over to Mistral a couple of weeks ago instead of gpt and it’s been really good for me so far.
Fully agree. My comment was more on the fact that we should really look deeper in some of these products so to have the full picture and make a transparent and fully informed decision. I am also using it (regrettably it's unrealistic to expect to be able to boycott 100% unless one opts to become a hermit and go live on top of a mountain) and I thin it's great.
