Wait, didn't they make a big show of those? Claiming they're some kinda new and unique invention in military science and whatnot?

Iraq for sure and possibly Afghanistan.

They were supposed to be a rapid deployment moderately armored infantry delivery and support platform.

Turns out they are just an extremely large and unweildy truck with a big gun on top that you can't often use without killing your dismounts.

So they couldn't even replicate a BTR, huh?

I guess they did replicate it... but found that their copy tried to do too much and unsuccessfully.
