The sea of chanting, nearly-naked men tussle, push and shove towards the shrine. "Washoi! Washoi!" they yell - let's go, let's go.

This this one festival, or does it occur in multiple places?

Says this year will be the last, because organizing is becoming a burden to the aged temple people. And it says previous years had women too. ("like opening previous years to women").
