Nobody who has any chance of getting elected is going to do any different. That AIPAC money is just too tempting, and they own too many congresspersons.

Case in point: if sanctions go through, Trump could easily reverse them. Go ahead and hold your breath on that one.

Yeah. This is what happens when you let foreign interests dictate your policy for you, by allowing them too many ways of influencing policy makers.

It's hard to hold it against politicians when their alternative is to be irrelevant. It must be incredibly frustrating for politicians in other countries that are utterly dependent on bigger countries - like the US. Given the era in which I grew up, it's difficult for me to contemplate just how much of a puppet state we've become in some areas.
