What? This is literally the strategy they tried which just lost.

They call her "too liberal" because she a black woman. She laughably tried to win over their vote with right wing policies.

The racist right ringers will always choose the racist white man who supports them 90% over a black woman who represents them 50%, hell even if she represented their beliefs more than Trump, she would still have been a black woman, which they wouldn't like...they're racist right wingers.

Sacrificing 3 left votes to gain 1 right vote will never work and the further right you go the more left votes you drop while picking up fewer and fewer right votes.
