The FIA sanctions the WEC too, so I don't know how that would work out under this particular circumstance.

A WEC team has three drivers. He could probably negotiate a contract where he never has to speak in front of the press.

A sabbatical where he keeps racing probably. There are championships that arenโ€™t directly governed by the FIA. Like IndyCar or Super Formula.
