Anime has made me think Onigiri must taste amazing. I've still never had it.
If you ever made sushi at home. Take leftover rice, put it on some plastic foil, put a spoon of filling inside and roll the plastic foil into a condensed ball.
slap a nori piece on it just before eating (so it stays crisp).
Enjoy the next best thing after sushi. And sometimes its better then sushi.

All the ones i ever had had filling of some kind.
They do taste amazing for how simple they are.
The best ones are filled with umeboshi (pickled plum) and glazed/fire roasted.

Idk where you live, but if there is a ramen shop in your area, they may have some on the menu.
It's surprisingly filling. Try making some at home, it's really easy!
