I kinda appreciate ASIOs current stance of talking more to the public where they can. I can’t be the only one that said “fucking finally” when they called for people to tone down the internet discourse. Even if it is a decade or so overdue.
I pretty much loathe asio and everyone that works there for being part of something that gives refugees infinite sentencing with no court, explanation, appeal, or parole.
That said, if they're doing anything to try address at horrible xenophobia then for all my contempt I'm still happier than if they weren't.
I like how they said that public figures need to be careful about what they say as it stirs up extremism and within a week Dutton said we should block all Palestinian visa applications. Peter Dutton could not care less about national security
