So the guy in charge of Amazon's video games doesn't understand video games. Sounds about right. I was already skeptical of what they could pull off after the New World fiasco. I don't think we'll be seeing anything other than the video game version of Amazon's stolen and enshitified products

Mind filling me in on the fiasco? I'm pretty sure I played the game somewhat early on and didn't hear anything

The game was very bugged and did plenty of rollbacks too, not a thing MMO players enjoy having their progress erased, also plenty of exploits on a PvP focused endgame like a guild could just report every player on the other side and they would be auto-kicked from the game. Also the game was very light on content precisely because they pivoted from hardcore PvP to a more PvE friendly thing in the middle of development, pleasing almost no one from either side.
