That would be interesting, but for big titles it would only be possible if they're targeting the Nintendo's next generation along with Sony's current generation. We might have a few years where the PS5 and Switch 2 are comparable, before attention shifts to PS6. All speculation at this point. All I know is there's no way in hell FF16 or Rebirth could ever run on the current Switch.
The next Nintendo generation should at least have about as much power as the Xbox Series S. So we will, at least for a while, have games with lower graphic (xbox series s/nintendo's console) games with mid graphic (PS5, Xbox Series X, some pc's) and high end (PC's, maybe ps5 pro soon). The ps5, xbox series shouldn't be replace for about 4 years. So yes, until PS6 there shouldn't be a big problem invest in nintendo's plattform.
I’ll be surprised if we end up with Switch 2 being comparable to PS5, but Series S sounds about right to me. Though I will be disappointed if it’s not as comparable to the Steam Deck at least
