It's pretty easy to be a member of an Abrahamic religion and go your entire life without killing anyone.

You mean the structure that’s completely monster-made?
The only thing that stops them is secular law and punishment. They say this all the time. And while it may be possible to do so it is also improbable that they stop others who do. We have a wide variety of examples of this.
... again how is this different from any abuser who uses their position of authority to get away with horrific acts?
