- In general terms, write in body of your post as much information as possible (dates, creators, editors, links).
- If you found the image on the web, it is encouraged to put the direct link to the image in the βLinkβ field when creating a post, instead of uploading the image to Lemmy. Direct links usually end in .jpg, .png, etc.

Wasn't the area considered part of Rome (aka Roman-occupied Israel) at the time? I didn't think "Palestine" came about until much later.
He also wouldn't have been considered Arabic as he was of Jewish descent (if I understand correctly, ethnic Jews supposedly follow a specific ancestry derived from Isaac's son, Jacob; you aren't ethnically Jewish unless you can reasonably trace your lineage back to Jacob or else someone who can).
Regardless though, it doesn't change the fact that Jesus was semitic (Jews and Arabs are both considered semitic) and probably fairly brown.
I think getting into the minucia of facts in a comic strip is...an interesting take.

Edited to add: Like everything about this region, it's complicated. And I think that's mostly the point of the comic: Some Americans want to white-wash that history, act like nothing happened before 1957 or even October 2023. Short attention spans can kill.
