Comic Books
A place to discuss comic books of all types, from old to new, Big 2 to indie, and everything in between.
Floppies, graphic novels, compilations, omnibusses (omnibusi?) are all fair game.
There is only one rule:*
Comic Books is a no judgement zone.
You can talk all you want about how Rob Liefeld is trash, Bob Kane is an asshole, or Frank Miller and Dave Sim’s politics have made them toxic, that’s all good.
If, however, another user is LEGITIMATELY a fan of something you don’t like, that does NOT make them a lesser person. Attack the art for being bad, not the person for being a fan of bad art.
* I lied. There are TWO rules... No piracy. Cover shots? That's good. Interior pages, in moderation? Sure. Full books? Links to pirate sites? That's how we get things shut down. :(
I'm not saying it's been a problem, because it hasn't been.

Lots of good stuff this week:
Ain't No Grave #4 - Cowboy mom hunting Death...
Birds Of Prey #12 - I had doubts after the Themyscyra story, but it's been good!
C.O.W.L. 1964 #1 (Of 3) - C.O.W.L. is a book a lot of people never heard of.There were two good runs before this, all worth reading.
"Chicago Organized Workers League"- the world's first Super-Hero Labor Union
Vol 1 - https://imagecomics.com/comics/releases/c-o-w-l-vol-1-principles-of-power-tp
Vol 2 - https://imagecomics.com/comics/releases/c-o-w-l-vol-2-the-greater-good-tp
Cyberpunk 2077 Kickdown #2 - The Cyberpunk comics have been better than the game! Nice to see the game caught up!
Doctor Strange #18 - Gotta be honest, was not down for all the "Blood Hunt" nonsense, but I loved Bats coming in for the rescue. Bats is a good dog! Finally back to the non-crossover stuff.
EC Cruel Universe #1 - 2nd title in the EC-Verse!
Gotham City Sirens #1 - Harley, Ivy, AND Catwoman? Yes!
Grendel Devil's Crucible Defiance #2 - Been reading Grendel since "Devil by the Deed" was a backup in Mage(!)
Police Comics #1 (Facsimile Edition) - Reprint of the first Plastic Man!
Shazam #14 - Delightfully wacky!
Space Ghost #4 - SPAAAAAAAAACE GHOOOOOOOOST!
Uncanny X-Men #1 - Here we go again!
I've really been digging Ain't No Grave too! I'm also following his ongoing, I Hate Fairyland, I like the dude's work so far!
This one was weird, no dialog, but it makes sense in the end!
Also bummed that this is the last issue of Doctor Strange until it reboots again. :(
That was pretty weird, I do wish there was dialogue but it wasn't bad.
"ain't no grave" might be a reference to the Brother Claude Ely song of the same name. He was one of the biggest inspirations on young Elvis Presley, supposedly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=il2xXRSJLmc
