Firstly, congrats! My big recommendation is to track your blood pressure if you can-- my doc has told me to do that while i'm on E + Sprio
That's a smart idea. They checked it when I was there and it was around 114/82. I also have BP measurements from previous visits as I'd message them to my mom.
I'm also only taking E since I want to keep my T for now. So this will help see how E specifically affects my BP.
thats like... a really bad idea. not properly suppressing T while taking E is just going to lead to imbalanced hormones and make you feel like complete garbage. all the effects from E can only happen if your T is properly suppressed (especially physical changes)
The doctor didn't seem to be concerned about that. Plus that's what they used to do prior to T blockers; I believe the method was called estradiol monotherapy.
But I can look into it more to see what the risks are.
what form of E are you taking and what dosage? monotherapy will suppress T at right dosages. but you cant keep your T, thats not how it works.
It just says estradiol and it's 2 mg taken twice a day.
okayyyy yeah thats not going to be enough for monotherapy. also make sure to dissolve it under your tongue!!! dont swallow it.
your doctor is either an idiot, not knowledgeable enough, or being purposely malicious. either way i recommend getting a new doctor. you need to properly suppress T for the effects of E to take place.
