I love my alarm app, AMdroid.

Has all kinds of challenge things I don't use (but probably should), but I do use the post alarm function.

5 minutes after I dismiss the alarm, I'll get a notification asking if I'm awake. If I don't respond in another 5 mins, a louder more obnoxious alarm will go off. Its like having multiple alarms, but with out the need to set/disable all the extras.

Also each time I snooze, the time gets 2 minutes shorter. 10mins, 8, 6, 4, 2...

Unfortunately, it isn't FOSS, and even has paid features.

If your model is 100% FOSS, no luck. If you dont care: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amdroidalarmclock.amdroid

Location data is used for location based alarms. If I recall, in the free version, the ads were just a banner at the bottom, (nothing stupid like "watch video to snooze", although the rage would definitely wake you up).

The recent reviews seem low, not sure what that's about, I haven't had any issues on my pixel 5a, android 14. They also complain about no backup/restore despite it being the 4th item in the settings menu, so take that as you will. My guess is they didn't set it to unrestricted battery usage or display over other apps (to get it to appear when the screen is locked).

Looking at the logs, its only internet access has been google APIs If you're worried about it, get netgaurd and block all it from all WiFi/cell activity. I'm guessing it will only affect location and "the WiFi signal strength challage".

Yup, that's the app I use. For a while I used an NFC tag instead of a QR code, but the tag started failing and I didn't want to solve 10 math problems every time it did.
