Purely anecdotal of course, but I switched to a whole food, plant based diet after my first high cholesterol diagnosis at the age of 36. Within six months my doctor was astonished that my cholesterol dropped by 78 points and was no longer considered high.
If you can manage the effort of changing, it’s entirely worth it for your health. I have two young children and I am committed to doing everything in my power to be around for them as long as I can. If i have to sacrifice some tasty foods to do that for them, it’s worth it.
I do miss cheese though… so very very much…
You can make home-made cheese with cashews
Yes, and this is a regular thing for me now. I make a small pot every couple of days. Some plain, some with herbs, some with chilli.
